Peer Review Process

The Editor, an Editorial Board (made up of the Section Editors), and an Editorial Review Board (made up of professionals who possess a history of publication and advanced degrees in the content areas they are responsible for reviewing) manage the peer review process. JFCM utilizes a double blind peer review process for all submissions.

The review process takes around 12 weeks and ensures the quality of all articles published. Accepted articles will be published within 4 weeks of their acceptance.

Reviewers will evaluate submissions based on their:

  • Relevance of content to major issues concerning the topics of family and community ministry,
  • Conformity to the style and purposes of JFCM,
  • Research rigor,
  • Comprehensive review and summary of relevant literature,
  • Conciseness,
  • Clarity, and
  • Strength of presentation.
