Chafin Lecture

Discerning Vocation: Children, Adolescents, and Congregations

The Center for Family and Community Ministries in the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University will host the biennial Barbara Chafin Endowed Lectureship in Family Ministries on March 30-31, 2016. Our speakers this year include:

  • Bonnie Miller-McLemore, E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Professor of Religion, Psychology, and Culture at Vanderbilt University Divinity School and Graduate Department
  • Almeda Wright, Assistant Professor of Religious Education at Yale Divinity School
  • Richard Osmer, Ralph B. and Helen S. Ashenfelter Professor of Mission and Evangelism, Princeton Theological Seminary

The lecture will focus on understanding vocation and how we can help children, adolescents, and congregations discern where and how God may be calling them now and in the future. This event is free and open to the public. All events will take place in the George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. Register for the event and lunch by clicking here.
