A Tribute to Diana Garland

The Journal of Family and Community Ministries is excited to announce the publication of a special issue, a tribute to our senior editor Diana Garland, that will be available soon and at no cost!

After serving for ten years as the inaugural dean of the Baylor School of Social Work recently named in her honor, Diana Garland announced her retirement as dean. This special issue celebrates her work at Baylor and her impact on social work education since she began as a faculty member in 1983 at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary’s Carver School of Church Social Work. This issue includes articles written by Garland as well as reflections by colleagues and students on her expansive academic career, her leadership as dean of the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, and the friendship she shares with many.
